92. lamented words; unbounded love

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

I am extremely tardy when it comes to updating these days.

First and foremost; a belated merry Christmas to one and all. I hope you had a lovely day and recieved everything you wanted, and no lumps of coal were found in your stockings.

Time to show off my loot. (Or rather, my partial loot, as I couldn’t be bothered to get all the smaller stocking fillers together, plus also £20 from my uncle that isn’t in the photo);

L – R, T – B:
UCLAN hoodie from Emma – In return I bought her a NUCA hoodie. We’re a bit sad like that.
Red checked shirt from my dad – So I can finally fulfill all my lumberjack dreams.
Fugg (fake Ugg) slippers from my mum – Because every day this winter I have complained my feet are cold. But not anymore!
Long black cardigan from my mum – Because that’s how I roll.
Big patent purple bag from my mum – Because my big brown leather bag is falling to pieces and my mum was sick of me being tatty.
Nintendo DS games from my dad – Represented by my DS as they were all downstairs and I was not.
Photo Art book from my dad – An huge collection of modern day photographers. My dad saw me eying this up in Borders and got it for me. D’awww!

I have nothing more to say, so if I don’t update again until 2009, have a fabulous new years and a happy 2009!

I am an awesome girlfriend. Like… really awesome. I don’t get enough credit for that. Really… there should be some sort of resumé, listing all my awesome qualities that I contribute to one half of a relationship, that I could give out to any future potentials (i.e. Chris Fountain) so they could think “WOW she’s awesome.” Perhaps somebody should write that? OH OH. How about if I write that? Yeaaahh, lets do this crazy thing!

Note: Whilst everything here is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, it is for the lolz. Do not take me seriously unless you’re interested in dating me in which case expect one of these coming your way soon.

REASONS WHY JEMI IS AN AWESOME GIRLFRIEND.

STATISTICS:
Visuals can be referred to my photo – please note that I am 5′9″, and taller in hells. No shorter than 5′9 please!

REFERENCES:
Yes I actually have references! Genuine references from those that know what it’s like to be in a relationship with me, and would happily tell any potential these things about me. Though hopefully I won’t have too many references as well.. I don’t plan on having many ex’s. :|

Ben (I don’t think I mentioned it here but Ben & I broke up last month. Yes it hurt but we’ll remain good friends):
Jemi has big boobs, and a nice face/smile/cheeks. She is good for sex (and good at it) with a sense of humour and has a brain (i.e. smart), and is easy to get along with… and beat up. (note: he means beat up as in rough housing… Ben is not into partner beating!)

REASONS:

o1. I’m not clingy.
We’re not attatched at the hip, we don’t have to spend every breathing moment together. We can do stuff together, and do stuff apart. You want to see your friends alone? That’s cool, I see mine too.

o2. I’m not materialistic.
…To an extent. Obviously birthdays and christmas is kind of a must, but other times I’m really not bothered if I’m showered with gifts (though if you want to, that’s fine by me…). I’m a sentimentalist, so I like to keep things that remind me of you, but that doesn’t neccessarily mean things that cost.

o3. I can handle distance.
I don’t mean as in long distance.. and I don’t mean people acting distant (infact that’s probably one of the best ways to piss me off), but touching more on reason o1, I don’t need to see you everyday if it’s not feasiable. I’ve gone weeks without seeing my boyfriend before (not through choice, mind) so I can do it. I don’t like totally being shut off though, but again I don’t require much. Just a text or something keeps me happy.

o4. I really am just happy with staying in & hanging out.
Really.

o5. I can scrub up well and adapt to events.
True.

o6. I put out.
I don’t mean as in to… anybody. But you won’t get none of these “Oh I have a headache! :( ” excuses from me!

o7. I’m not petty.
I’m a lazy person, so I can’t be doing with starting arguments over the tinest things that doesn’t even really matter.

o8. I don’t play games.
Honestly, I just don’t see the point. You’ll always get things straight up and honest from me. I won’t play games with you, so don’t play games with me.

o9. I don’t do drama.
Drama drama, you don’t want no drama. No no drama, you don’t want no drama… and neither do I.

1o. I will treat you with the utmost respect.
Just as long as you do the same.

11. I don’t just walk away when things get tough.
I ride them out, and resolve things the best as I can.

12. I’m awesome.
Can’t say fairer than that really. I actually had another few reasons that were valid but… slave-riot went down and I couldn’t publish this blog, nor save the draft so until I can remember what they were… the list stops here for now!

You move in waves.
You never retrace.
Your newest craze.
Straight out of the face by the bed unread.

I’m left behind,
like all the others.
Some fall for you,
it doesn’t make much difference if they do.

He changes everytime I look.
By summer it was all gone – now he’s moved on.
He called me every other day.
So savour it, it’s all gone – now he’s moved on.

So for a while,
everything seemed new.
Did we connect?
Or was it all just biding time for you?

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2008.
Post the first line of it in your journal, and that’s your “Year In Review.”

January:
Happy New Years, and hello 2008.

February:
I haven’t really written much recently.

March:
So possibly I may have hit a new level of sad if I’m updating this blog, which nobody reads, in my lunch break.

April:
…So I finally have something to talk about.

May:
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

June:
…i have officially lost it.

July:
So the past week has been interesting.

August:
I have been meaning to update for a while now, firstly because… it’s a blog, and it’s meant to be updated, secondly so I could make full use of my “Hello Dolly” plugin, and thirdly because Warren is getting violent in regards to the lack of textual action.

September:
So it’s been pointed out to me that I haven’t posted in bloody ages.

October:
The hoodie says it all; I am now officially an art snob/fag, depending on how you look at it.

November:
Curls! Yay or nay?

December:

88. dedicated to your madness

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

Oh man. Oh maaaan. Pure Reason Revolution were so good. Before I forget, I’ll post the set list:

Les Malheurs
Apogee of My Love
Deus Ex Machina
The Bright Ambassadors of Morning
Victorious Cupid
The Twyncyn/Trembling Willows
Gloaming
— Encore —
In Aurélia
Borgens Vor
Voices In Winter/In the Realms of the Divine
Arrival/The Intention Craft

I will refrain from doing any fangirling/squealing, as it is a public blog and nobody needs to see it except my close friends, so that will remain for my personal blog away from S-R. So, onwards.

Jamie’s amp blew, and despite attempts to revive it, half-way through Apogee, Jon turns to Chloe and says “We’ll have to cut it.” Being in front row, directly in front of Jon, meant I was in ear shot, leading to panic, having kittens and mentally screaming “Cut what? CUT WHAT?! I spent £200 to be here!”. Chloe announces there is difficulties and will return in 10 minutes. During which time, the support band, The Domino State return and delivers an amp so the show can resume.

What can I say? New songs sound very promising, I enjoyed singing obnoxiously loud to the oldies. I did not, however, enjoy a camera being shoved in my face every now and then. It made me feel very uncomfortable and made me worry that I may get captured on film pulling some sort of :B face. I was a little disappointed Golden Clothes did not make an appearence as I love, love, LOVE that song. But, they did play In Aurélia, so it kept my inner fangirl happy, as did Deux Ex Machina (but considering it’s a new song, I’d be concerned if it wasn’t played.)

Sadly, about 20 minutes before the gig began, Butty developed a severe case of manflu, meaning that he was practically dying by the end, therefore meaning I didn’t get the chance to loiter around for long. However! I did get to meet Paul (the drummer), who was lovely and I got a chat and a kiss from. He was very flattered that I’d came all that way and spent so much to see them live, but I reassured him it was money well spent!

However, my efforts of seeing them at Cargo had paid off, as PRR are coming to Norwich! Yes! Sweet sweet karma! From my understanding, they have not been here in 5 years, and never as a headlining act! Yes! Roll on March 6th 2009, I say!

Obviously, it’s because Jon’s heartbroken he didn’t get to meet me. Obviously.
