43. i should have told him, but within me hid a secret so terrible.

Lolz

Fuck yeah! I really hope I get through, the timing and everything is perfect, so I’m seeing it as either a sign/my fate/destiny.

Recently, I have been listening to a lot of Western bands. As in, non-Japanese bands, not “I lost my dog, I lost my wife, so I’ll lassoo another one and shuffle my merry way to the rodeo”.  As much as I love my Japanese music collection and admire their diversity in comparison to most other bands (if you turn a blind eye to garbage like An cafe and all that other Oshare kei and inidies gobshite) there’s something about English music which will never lead me astray: the lyrics. Don’t get me wrong, I understand Japan has a totally different culture and writes lyrics in a completely different way to ourselves, but theres only so much decadence, gardens of suicide and fucking my parents that one can take. With the exception of Emergence of Silence by Schwarz Stein, it’s the English language songs that move me to tears, the songs that I associate with and really means something to me. With some of the best bands being British, with Muse in mind whilst writing this, it makes me glad to be British, and for all those obnoxious jrock fans that listen to nothing else but Japanese music that 9 times out of 10 they have no idea of the what the lyrics are, and even when they’ve been translated, they still probably have no idea of the true meaning (the Japanese use a lot of word play) and if I’m honest I feel sorry for them.
