Aiko Final Piece…So I finally have something to talk about.

Tuesday I went to London and met with Aiko to take my final pieces for Unit 3 (to the right is a preview of one of the shots I think I will use. I’m still editing and playing around with them as of right now so I shan’t post any more nor any larger until I’m fully satisfied with them). Thank you again Aiko for helping me out and I do apologise for being full of fail when it comes to directing, it’s just something I’m not comfortable with and being bossy isn’t in my nature. D:

Anysnootch! This is the main thing my entry is about- the next day (Wednesday) I was due to take some photographs for a friend, so me and my best friend Freya went to meet her and she didn’t show up. :/ So I took that opportunity to take some photos for another photography project I have to do Stephen Shore response(photo on the left… obviously edited out the registrations for privacy reasons, but I’m really proud of how this turned out for some reason… I’m not usually that proud of my work, but considering I very rarely do “location” photos, I think it’s pretty nifty.).

Anyway, I digress! So me and Freya were wondering about the outskirts of the city, and what did we find? An abandoned warehouse. I mean, most of you are probably thinking ’so?’ but I’ve been looking for an abandoned warehouse to shoot in for absolutely AGES. Freya told me it’s usually all locked up but we managed to climb in through a broken window and checked the place out and oh man, it’s AMAZING, we couldn’t believe it. It’s absolutely huge and we haven’t even viewed half of it yet. The only downside to it is the lighting conditions are really poor so we weren’t really prepared and only got a few photos. We were The warehousegoing to go and explore upstairs, and then we heard footsteps coming down the stairs- panicking, me and Freya legged it. She climbed through the window first, and I got her to hold my camera while I climbed through (and almost put my hand through broken glass in the process) and we were getting really scared as we heard the person coming closer and closer and then… it turns out it was a homeless person. XDDDD So I’m assuming there’s squatters in the upstairs part, but we’re hoping it’s just that one rogue woman.

We’re going to go back tomorrow to do a shoot, and try and make the most of the lighting conditions. It’s really dark in there so we either have to use long exposures (which don’t work too well as neither of us have a tripod) or flash which can butcher a shot. :/ But we’ll see, sometimes flash works well. Ideally we would have went back with some guys to protect us just incase, but we can’t wait that long. But we’re going to bring a bag of goodies and some protective gear (like gloves and stuff) so we’re a little more safer. Hopefully we’ll get some good shots and I will post the results of it!

Finally, I just worked out I can add in my own replies to your comments before I publish them, so I will be doing this from thereon. Be sure to check back for responses!

♥: Excited.
